Now in its 45th season, Academic Challenge is not only an award-winning quiz show, but also one of the longest running, locally produced shows in television history.
This year, Academic Challenge will air Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. on Cleveland's WEWS, Channel 5. Host Jason Nicholas welcomes high school teams of three students each from Northeast Ohio to compete in five rounds of questions on the quiz show. The three highest-scoring schools will return at the end of the season to participate in the Academic Challenge championship.
Through our support of Academic Challenge, Westfield has provided academic grants for schools throughout Northeast Ohio for the past seven years.
