Brain Game (Columbus, Ohio)
In partnership with the Ohio News Network (ONN), Westfield Insurance Brain Game is a statewide academic quiz show hosted by ONN anchor Mike Kallmeyer. Each episode features two high school teams competing for the highest score. Brain Game airs every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on The Ohio News Network. You can watch it again on Friday at 9:30 a.m., Sunday at 5 p.m. or Tuesday at 12:30 p.m
At the end of the season, Westfield Insurance awards grants to the highest scoring schools.
About Host Mike Kallmeyer
In addition to Brain Game, Mike Kallmeyer anchors Ohio’s 9 O’Clock News and Primetime Ohio Monday through Friday. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Mike has covered Ohio news for 18 years and been the recipient of numerous awards during his tenure at ONN, including two Emmys for Writing and three AP Best Ohio Anchor awards.
Mike is a graduate of Ohio University, and began his broadcast career as a sports producer at ONN’s Cincinnati affiliate, WKRC-TV.
The History of Brain Game
Brain Game celebrated its 100th episode last season! Brain Game was nominated for a 2009 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award for Children/Youth/Teens-Program Category.
