About Host Rick Dayton

Rick hosts Hometown High-Q, KDKA-TV’s Saturday morning high school quiz show, and is a morning anchor for the KDKA-TV Morning News and the KDKA-TV Morning News on Pittsburgh’s CW on WPCW-TV. 

He has more than 20 years of experience in broadcast. Prior to joining the KDKA team in September 2009, Rick spent seven years at WOWK in Charleston/Huntington, WV. He also spent seven years with Capitol Broadcasting Company in Raleigh, NC and was Sports Director of the North Carolina News Network.

A native of the Grove City, Rick began his career in 1983 as a newscaster and DJ at WEDA-FM. View Rick's full bio.
