Students from Trinity, North Hills and West Mifflin high schools will test their brain power on Saturday, October 27 while taping the academic quiz show, Hometown High Q. Students compete every week for a chance to win academic grants and recognition, and a place in the quiz show championship.
The episode will air later this season, but students and parents are invited to come out and cheer them on this Saturday at the taping. Those who want to attend should arrive by 10:45 a.m. at KDKA-TV studios at One Gateway Center in downtown Pittsburgh. Taping will begin promptly at 11:15 a.m., and lasts approximately 30 minutes, followed by a tour of the KDKA studios and newsroom for all interested show participants and audience members. Admission is free.
Westfield Insurance sponsors Hometown High Q, and provides academic grants to the top-ranking schools. Hometown High Q airs on KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
