Since December, several students at Peters Township have been practicing in preparation for their appearance on KDKA's "Hometown High-Q" academic quiz show, which is sponsored by Westfield Insurance.

Dubbed the "High Q Club," the team of five meets every Friday after school for two hours, and every Monday and Tuesday for a half an hour. They practice trivia questions in a variety of subjects, including science, math, social studies and literature.

According to Maddie Ranade, a math and science teacher at Peters Township High School, three members of the team — Allie Hussey, Jack Hussey and Sean Yang — will compete in the June 4 filming of Hometown High-Q. The episode is expected to air sometime in the fall.
