On Thursday, Dec. 8, top students from Ridgewood High School (West Lafayette, OH) and Indian Valley High School (Gnadenhutten, OH) will compete on the Westfield Insurance Brain Game, hoping to become the next state champion.
Duke Stark is the advisor for the Ridgewood students. Their team includes juniors Lauren Preston, Jeff Conner and Jacob Brenneman, and senior Cheyenne VanFossen. Advising the Indian Valley team is Polly Stark. Participating students include seniors Alex Costmire, Pauline Gaynesbloom, Deanna Draganov and Taylor Gray.
Sixty Ohio high school teams compete each season on Brain Game for a chance to win academic grants for their schools. The quiz show is in its fifth consecutive season, and airs Thursdays at 7:30 p.m, with replays at 9:30 a.m. Friday, 5 p.m. Sundays and 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Brain Game is a collaboration of ONN and Westfield Insurance. It is taped at WOSU@COSI studio in Columbus, Ohio, and airs on ONN.
