Westfield Insurance will host the fourth annual Road Safe Teens Program on Saturday, May 7, at The Mid-Ohio School in Lexington, Ohio.
Two hundred newly licensed drivers will participate in a two-part driving education program. The first portion allows teens to discuss the techniques of defensive driving and basic car maintenance in a classroom setting.
For the second part of the day, the students will head to Mid-Ohio's Vehicle Dynamics Center, where they will practice their driving skills in a variety of scenarios, including wet braking, emergency lane change and loss of control in the Skid Car. Instructors will provide the teens with feedback throughout the session, and work with them to improve their skills.
Westfield Insurance is the official insurance company of the Mid-Ohio School, and is also the sponsor of the school's 2011 schedule. The 2011 schedule is available at www.midohioschool.com/schedule.
Check back on Monday, May 9, for photos, videos and student reactions from Road Safe Teens.
